Lebanon’s downtown is a unique combination of local shops, eateries, and entertainment.
A short walk from campus will lead you to the Square. Driving is of course an option, but parking can be an issue depending on the time of day.
Boutiques, of which Lebanon has money, tend to offer unique items that can spice up your personal style. Some notable ones include Urban Mills Boutique and Poppie’s Boutique. Besides clothes, Lebanon’s Square also has a local bookstore, Harper’s Books. They offer new and used books for purchase.
Eateries are the focal point on the weekend nights. Cedar City Brewing and Town Square Social offers a traditional American menu with each having their own specialties. Cedar City Brewing offers their very own hand-crafted beer and has a combination of events that range from music to comedy. Town Square Social offers Southern Style food and features their signature cocktail, the Watermelon Crawl, which is made of ole smokey salty watermelon whiskey, lemonade, cranberry, and lemon lime soda. There are many more alcoholic drinks to choose from. After dining around the Square, for dessert there is the Main Street Mercantile and Creamery, which offers ice cream treats and doubles as a local shop offering all types of goodies.
For a close study spot that doubles as a coffee shop is Lebanon Coffee House. Besides coffee, other options include hot chocolate, tea, lemonade, and smoothies. For breakfast, there are burritos, sandwiches, and bowls. At lunch, there is the opportunity to create your own sandwich and there is also soup. Open Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2 pm, Lebanon Coffee House is open prime time to grab a bite to eat and prepare for classes.
For entertainment, there is the Capitol Theater, which offers musicals, concerts, comedy, shows, and movie nights. Most movies are older movies, which still give you the second chance to see it in a theatre. Another one-of-a-kind place is Wild Colors Creative Design Studio, an art studio that can help you relax, start a new hobby, or dig into your artistic side. Adult classes and pop-up classes are available for booking. Some pop classes include jewelry nights and stain glass classes. This would be a great opportunity for a group of friends.
Another great way to treat yourself is located at the Loft Beauty Studio. Here is where you can get your hair done, waxing, brow tinting, lashes, facials, and teeth whitening. Self-care is a priority that shouldn’t be avoided, so why not treat yourself?

Spotlight: SWIG
Have you heard of the “dirty” sodas that have taken over social media? Well, Swig is officially in Brentwood, which is only 36 miles from CU! Swig’s focal point is their “dirty” sodas. These sodas are special because they are a custom mix of flavors, fruits, creams, and puree. Customers can create their own soda, or they can try ones that are on the menu, like the Texas Tab, Strawberry Breeze, or the Shark Attack. Swig also has Revivers, which is a fancy way of saying energy drinks, refreshers, hot chocolate, pretzel bites, and cookies. While it might be a drive from Lebanon, this Utah native soda chain is definitely out of the ordinary. Let us know what you try!
